Andorra la Vella (Andorra)

Lots of people go to Andorra because it is tax free shopping. (European sales tax is 20%.) Andorra is a tiny country, situated on the border of France and Spain. France and Spain kind of share Andorra. It is in the middle of the Pyrenees, and it was established by some Count from Spain, and some Bishop from France. They became Princes of the country and from there the country kept being passed down through the following generations.

This is a statue of one of Dali's clocks, from his famous painting the Persistence of Memory

A lot of hotels and houses are building into the side of the mountains. It reminds me of the Casas Colgadas in Cuenca.

Me in a park with the mountains behind me (awkwardly taken... lol)

This is where I had lunch

All in all it was a fun stop. I got to see the beutiful mountains from an interesting town. The mixture of the cultures here is very different. There are so many people that come to Andorra from as far as Russia to buy stuff, that this is reflected in the buildings and signs and everything.
